Hi, I’m Michel, the founder of WERLOT. I am a mechanical engineer with a passion for watches and 3D printing. A few years ago I started collecting watches, but most of them ended up hidden in a drawer. I wanted a simple and elegant way to display them while keeping my automatic watches running, and that idea became WERLOT.

With more than seven years of experience in 3D printing, I began developing WERLOT during Christmas 2023. The first versions were fully 3D printable and offered as hardware kits for makers. The feedback was great, but it also showed that most people preferred a complete, ready to use winder instead of a kit.

Because of this, WERLOT is now shifting from DIY kits to fully finished watch winders. These will be available next year and will stay true to our original goals of clean design, quiet performance and reliable winding.

WERLOT has evolved through many prototypes and the support of talented collaborators. I am excited to bring the next generation of WERLOT winders to watch lovers everywhere.
